Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of OtterSpeech, a text-to-speech product provided by OliveOtter, LLC (“we”, “us”), including our web app and Chrome browser extension (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The service
OtterSpeech turns written text into spoken audio. It offers a free browser voice and, for subscribers, higher-quality Pro voices. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the product develops.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
Subscriptions & billing
Pro features are offered on a paid subscription billed through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and only for content you have the right to use. Do not misuse or attempt to disrupt the Service, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it to infringe others’ rights. You are responsible for the text you choose to have read aloud.
Your content
The Service reads text you direct it to. We do not claim ownership of that text. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OliveOtter, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Changes & termination
We may update these terms as the product evolves; we will revise the “last updated” date when we do, and continued use means you accept the changes. We may suspend or end access to the Service for conduct that violates these terms.
